As Mr. Schmidt will be out of the building today and tomorrow, the Spring Student Service Learning DEADLINE will be extended to Wednesday June 6th. Again, the revised DEADLINE for spring student service learning hours is Wednesday June 6th.
All library books are due tomorrow! Please turn in your books as soon as possible so that you can be sure to participate in any end of the year activities.

Nine teams from Pyle participated in the Invent the Future Challenge Summit on Sunday, May 20 at Magruder High School. The challenge was sponsored by the Kid Museum and MCPS. It was open to middle school students from across the Washington DC area.
Here are three Pyle teams that participated were: Pouchy, Water Filters, and STEM Heads. Two other Pyle teams were Aquarius and Green Team.
JKM Productions received the Judges Choice award.
The Power Peddlers received the Collaboration award.
The Algebruhas received the Potential Impact award.
The Gutter Runners received two awards: Audience Choice award andPresentation of Idea award.
Congratulations to all that participated throughout the year, but a special congrats to those that participated at the Summit! Pyle had nine of the 90 teams participating.
Mr. Lewis, Mrs. Metz, and Mr. Falatko hope to see more of the current 6th and 7th grade students next year with even better design ideas to save the planet!
On June 5th, Pyle will be participating in the annual Drive for Supplies during TAG. Place all used (but still usable) school supplies in the Drive for Supplies boxes located in the hallways. These supplies will be distributed to students in need. If your items are not reusable but recyclable, please place them in the school’s recycling bins. If you are looking for something to do this July or need student service hours, volunteer to help pack and distribute the donated school supplies. See our Drive for Supplies coordinator, Mr. Enderle.
Pyle's Drama Performance Classes will have their End of Year Performances tomorrow, Friday on June 1. The shows start at 6 pm. You will see 4 shows:
"The Plot Thickens" a show that peeks into the back-stage antics in a play.
"Bus Stop" a comedy that reveals the trials of a bus driver.
and two wild comedies by Don Zolidis. "Game of Tiaras" about various princesses in a battle for the crown and "Employees Must Wash Hands...Before Murder" about a low end fast food restaurant that just happens to have a death on its hands. Who did it?
Come see these fun shows, all student performed, student directed, with all tech jobs prepared and performed by the students! Tickets are FREE. See Mrs. Cox in room 130 for how to get your tickets. Seats are limited!!
