Opportunity #1 for current Pyle 7th and 8th graders:
Athens and Greek Islands STEM based educational tour scheduled for June 2019.

Explore Athens and enjoy a 4 night cruise to 5 different Greek islands including Mykonos and Crete. During the 10 day tour you will explore: Athens, Mykonos, Samos, Patmos, Crete, Rhodes, Delphi and Cape Sounion.  Some of the on tour activities include:

  • Walking tours and guided tours of Athens, Delphi, Sounion and the Greek Islands

  • 3 included excursions during the 4 night Greek Island cruise

  • Cooking Class in Athens

  • Entrances to: Acropolis, Acropolis museum, Delphi, Delphi museum, olive farm, Sounion, Temple of Poseidon

  • Free time in each city

 


Opportunity #2 for current Pyle 7th and 8th graders:
Spain and Italy STEAM based educational tour scheduled for Spring Break 2019.

During our 10 day tour we will explore the art, architecture and culture of 4 amazing cities: Madrid, Barcelona, Florence and Milan.  Spring Break 2019—make the world your classroom! Eat churros and chocolate in Madrid. Relax at the beach in Barcelona (after seeing Gaudi's Sagrada familia).

 

Some of the on tour activities:

Walking tours of Madrid and Barcelona

Guided tours of Madrid, Barcelona, Florence, Pisa and Milan

Tapas making class in Madrid and cooking class in Florence  

Mosaic class in Barcelona and charcoal drawing class in Florence

Entrances to: Prado, Reina Sofia, Picasso, Uffizi and Accademia museums

Free time in each city

Beach time in Barcelona



Opportunity #3 for current Pyle 7th and 8th graders:
Global student leadership summit regarding the power of communication and the rise of communism in Eastern Europe and the social impacts of media past and present. (Tour sold out world wide--we were given 4 additional student slots.)

The 14 day tour and summit explores the power of propaganda, bias and communication in Krakow, Prague, Nuremberg, Munich and Davos.  This tour will include a walking tour of Krakow, expert guided of Krakow including Wawel Hill and Glowny, Schindler's factory and museum, expert guided tour of Auschwitz and Birkenau, walking tour of Prague's Jewish quarter, WW2 themed tour of Prague, Nuremberg documentation center museum, Munich guided WW2 tour, bike tour of Munich, visit to Dachau, Bavarian dinner with locals, Neuschwanstein Castle, cable car ride in Davos, Davos city tour.   Students conclude the tour with the Global Leadership Summit and will leverage the information learned on tour to develop solutions to current media and communication needs.
