[pylenet] Pyle MS Announcements 5/25

This is a reminder that the last day for after-school activities and activity buses will be Thursday May 31st.

Pyle is looking for student volunteers to work in the main office this summer. Students will receive SSL hours for helping to answer phones, greet visitors, and other responsibilities and projects. Applications are available in the main office and due May 31st.

Women’s chorus is having an open house performance on Thursday May 31st during TAG. You will need an invitation in order to attend. There are a limited number of passes being distributed for this event. Please see Mr. Tilkens in room 123 starting Monday.

Attention all 8th graders: We are looking for talent for Whitman Day on June 15th! We are searching for singers, instrumentalists, poets, and more. If you are interested in being a highlight of the promotion ceremony, please speak with Ms. McSkeane or Mr. Prunier by June 1st or sooner. There is limited space to perform, so we may not be able to include all that are interested.

Attention all dancers: There will be a Jazz Dance Master Class after school on Thursday, May 31st. This will be a great opportunity for experienced dancers to work on technique and learn new choreography. Students should have at least one year of jazz dance training or have participated in the cast of a Pyle musical in order to participate in the class. Class will be over at 4:15 and students can ride the activity bus home. Students should come dressed to dance in loose-fitting movement clothes and dance shoes or sneakers. Please visit the Counseling Services office to sign up for class. The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, May 30th.

Every child deserves a FUN summer! Kindworks is looking for donations of new and gently used items for low income kids in Montgomery County. Any summer fun items such as balls, chalk, hula hoops, art supplies, sunscreen and games can be placed in the front entrance box at Pyle. The collection will end on Thursday May 31st.
